Promoting Your Practice – Step 7

Promoting Your Dental Practice

FACE TO FACE COMMUNICATIONS

It’s hard to replace face to face communication. Promoting your dental practice may start with a launch party or open day. These are ideal to share your vision and promote a new dental product. Or they can simply give patients the opportunity to ask about certain dental treatments in a more relaxed environment.

LAUNCH PARTIES

Launch your new dental brand with a party in the practice. Invite your existing patients and ask them to bring friends and family members. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate what you and your team have achieved and to thank your new or existing patients for their loyalty.

OPEN DAYS

Promoting your dental practice with open days or evenings can help to advertise a new service. Or they offer the chance for people to find out about other dental treatments. For example teeth whitening, dental veneers or Invisalign braces. People may feel nervous about booking an appointment to discuss their own specific questions, but promoting your dental practice with an open evening may make them feel more relaxed. Working with strategic partners to invite one another’s clients can increase numbers and create a more stimulating and interesting event. Supporting a local charity can also give a nice side benefit.

EXHIBITING YOUR BRAND

Exhibitions are a great way to launch a new product and generate qualified leads. They can also allow you to check out your competitors and potential strategic partners. Promoting your dental practice at trade shows, conferences and even local school fetes or pamper evenings may be the ideal place to meet your target market.

As with all dental marketing, and whichever type of event or exhibition you attend, have a clear objective for what you would like to achieve. Make sure you communicate with as many people as possible and if you are running your own dental event, expect a 25% drop out rate on the day – this is entirely normal, even if people have confirmed. Additionally think about how you can extend the benefit of running your event to other areas of marketing such as your dental website, or issuing a press release.
